Nowra

Situated some 125 km south of Sydney, the city of Nowra is located on the beautiful Shoalhaven River.

Inhabited by the Yuin and Dhwrawl Aboriginal people the area started to see European settlement from around 1824.

Just outside the township, the remarkable property Bundanon, was given to the nation by internationally recognised painter Arthur Boyd and is now listed on the Register of National Estates.

Nowra is the jumping off point for many popular seaside areas including Shoalhaven Heads, Culburra, Currarong, Calalla Bay and Jervis Bay.
